"Glory of Love" is a 1986 song performed past Peter Cetera, which he wrote and equanimous with his and then-wife Diane Nini and David Foster.[1] The vocal was recorded by Cetera soon afterward he left the band Chicago to pursue a solo career. The song earned nominations for an Academy Honour for All-time Original Song,[8] and a Gold Globe in the category of Best Original Song.[ix] It was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 1987 for All-time Pop Vocal Functioning by a Male Artist,[10] and went on to win an ASCAP Honor for Nearly Performed Songs from a Motion Film[11] and a BMI Film & Goggle box Award for Nearly Performed Song from a Film.[12]

Cetera has said that he originally wrote and equanimous "Glory of Love" as the end championship for the moving-picture show Rocky IV (1985), but it was passed over past United Artists, instead ultimately being used as the theme for The Karate Kid Part II (1986).[13] [fourteen]

One record company executive estimated that sales of the "Glory of Beloved" single were down by over a quarter of a 1000000 units compared to what it might accept done a few years earlier.[30]

"Glory of Love" made its get-go appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 in the Us at number 62, for the week ending on June 7, 1986,[31] [32] and debuted at number 59 on the Greenbacks Box Pinnacle 100 Singles chart that aforementioned date.[33] In the same issue, Cash Box too shows the single every bit a new release.[34]
