Toilet flange in Concrete
Builder roughin for basement bath. Noticed the toilet flange is already installed in concrete. How am I supposed to accept the toilet flange on acme of the finished flooring? It appears to be wrapped in plastic wrap underneath.

You insert a bolt into the wider part of the slot and rotate to the narrow part.
If you cant figure that out so don't endeavor a toilet install!!

The toilet flange goes on peak of the finished floor. Not affluent with the cement slab.

Information technology tin can be used the way it is now, merely you'll have to use the colossal wax seal and longer bolts. How high to a higher place will the flooring be?

Dricore, ditra underlay, tile. So significant superlative divergence.
Its a relatively new build (2015), so i dont understand why they did what they did. I expected to discover a three or iv" pipe.

You lot did, it but has a flange attached to it. Don't like it, rent a chipping gun interruption upward the floor and adjust to adapt. Could exist at HD for 6am and have the problem fixed merely after coffee.
As for why the architect did it, did you tell them your intentions when the house was being built or did you lot just presume? Some go out a pipe, others leave the flange. It does not have to exist flush with the finished floor.

Its a relatively new build (2015), so i dont sympathize why they did what they did. I expected to find a iii or four" pipe.

We got the standard builder basement bathroom crude in. I'm new to the DIY so I didnt think to request something specific.
Appears odd to me installing the flange level to the concrete slab, when a 4" pipe would've been so much easier to cut to the advisable level.
Appears I will demand at least 1.25" in flange extension. iii/4 for dricore, i/two for tile/adhesive.

Choice #1: STACKED WAX Rings – Simply use the same double stacked toilet wax ring setup again.
Option #ii: Extender Kit – Extender is nothing more than a "funnel" that provides solid conduit path from the bowl horn to the toilet flange. Some are standalone (Zurn Flo-Bowl Jr) and some are role of a kit (Set-Rite).
Option #3: Spacer Kit – Spacer kits come up with hard PVC rings with various thickness. Some comes with built in gaskets, others either come with separate gaskets or none at all (in that instance you need to use mastic of some sort like a caulking or plumbers putty). These rings are designed to be stacked in any combination to friction match the new floor surface level. Some kits too come with a toilet flange extender (see selection #two).
Option #4: Sani Seal – This is a fairly new product on the marketplace. Sani Seal is a thick, doughnut shaped made of polyurethane foam ring with a built in cone mold on the bottom that is designed to replace the stacked wax rings. According to the manufacturer, Sani Seal can also be stacked.

Came to say the same affair.
For someone new to DIY I wouldn't recommend a double stack wax rings, purchase a double or 1 of the wax less ones.
